When THE DUMP started up awhile ago it was nothing more than a page
with some text saying "Welcome to The Dump" in large, overdone letters.
The lame Angelfire ftp sytem limited us to not be able to put our title graphic on, so for a long while the page stayed untouched and it was just the same as all those other crappy pages with just a blurb of text. Of course
we thought we had struck gold when we found geocities, realizing that we would get 2 megs (woo-hoo woop-a-dee-doo, right?) but then we remembered the 35k that angelfire gave us and bowed down before the almighty geocities god. It seemed too good to be true as we uploaded the title graphic with such ease and it instantly appeared in the file manager. Of course, with our luck it didnt work... but when we realized we didn't know HTML either, and that might've been the problem (we're smart ones, eh?). Eventually after 45 cans of pepsi were consumed and 5 days of mind-boggling challenges, we got the picture to work. We didn't type the file name in right. (wow, we just get smarter and smarter...). Although it could've just been the fact that we were working on a mac (cringe). But when the blue and gray colored logo appeared on the screen, we knew we were unstopable. We danced around the computer praising it for its good work. (I swear I never did this but---uh-oh. I kissed a mac..) After that we got rid of most of my friend's artwork--okay all--but it doesn't matter, THE DUMP is the same as it always was and always will be. Clean, bitter fun for all ages. Yeah. Right.
